Nailsworth Tea Time Concerts - Bristol Ensemble - 5th February

Bristol Ensemble will perform at Christ Church, Newmarket Road, Nailsworth, Brahms's Clarinet Quintet and Mozart's Divertimenti KV136... at 3pm.  Tea and cakes will be served at 4pm after the concert in aid of a Church charity. Staple Hill are a Focoustic duo based in Tetbury.  Come along and experience their very intriguing unique live shows, which include "heavily harmonious vocals" and "gutsy acoustic guitar playing" to create a catchy easy listening musical fused acoustic and folk sound. Starts at 8pm, free entry.

Wooden Wonders at Westonbirt Arboretum - 14th February - 16th February

This February half-term children can celebrate one of the most remarkable materials on the planet - wood!

There will be a special trail to find secret skeletons, meet a tree or two and see how many wooden wonders there are to spot along the way.  At the education centre, children can have a go at a range of wood-inspired arts and crafts activities, including making models with sawdust, creating a wood block print design, building a mini hurdle and drawing with charcoal.

Wooden Wonders take place between 10.30am and 3.00pm  14 - 16 February. Activities are suitable for children aged four years and upwards.
 
Admission to Westonbirt Arboretum in February is £5 for adults, £4 concessions and £2 children. Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum members and accompanying children under 19 years old visit free.
